The AWT conduct many surveys on our local wildlife as part of national recording schemes. If you would be interested in helping with any aspect of our survey and monitoring work please get in touch. Wildlife Survey Volunteers contribute invaluable work for both marine and terrestrial surveys and all your data will go towards informing conservation action on the island. Some of our most important long-term datasets come from citizen science projects so any time you can contribute is really valuable.
If you are interested in volunteering for our survey programme but don't yet have the ID skills, don't let that stop you! We have a number of events aimed at teaching ID and survey skills as well as events for trained volunteers.
Your general sightings are also hugely valuable. Please remember to either record the wildlife you see on the iRecord App or with us on the Alderney Biodiversity Centre.
