Alderney holds a diverse and extensive variety of Wildlife within and around it's unique landscape. From land to sea and air. Collectively our community already volunteers over 1,000 hours every year to protect, develop and restore our natural environment, enabling us to not only maintain but also improve our Island’s ecology.
Climate change is contributing toward ecological losses and only humans can help our natural world thrive again. The Wildlife Trust has developed a strategy to Bring Back Nature by 2030. Alderney Wildlife Trust believe in this collaborative approach of inspiring people to get involved and support nature's recovery.
In 2023 and beyond, we want to work harder to create more connection and protection across Alderney. That means supporting as many of you as possible to take meaningful actions that contribute toward restoring nature. If you are part of our Youth, a resident in our local Care Home, one of our families, or part of an under-represented community we want to hear your thoughts. This also extends to the many visitors we welcome each year that come here to enjoy our beautiful and special home.
We are committed to creating solutions that support and empower you all to make big changes with us. As they say though, from little Acorns, mighty Oaks grow. No matter how small our actions are, collectively, we can make waves (or mighty Oaks) for the benefit of all.
